Reuniting Families with Old Photos

Reuniting Families with Old Photos

I am beginning the process of going through family pictures.  All of the family pictures were brought to my house after daddy passed.  I hope to get them sorted and labeled as much as I have knowledge of, so my children will know who is in each picture.  There are many that are not labeled and I have no idea who they are.  There are also many of friends and family.  I hope to reunite some of them with their families.  I couldn’t help but post a few.

I love old family photos.  They share the good times and the bad.  They give life to stories I’ve heard.  I have many pictures of the students my mother taught at the Wiseman School in the late 40s.  She also taught at Olive Branch for a while.

I don’t know the students, but she told many fun stories about her students, so it is fun to see faces that were part of those experiences.

I hope some of you who follow my page will enjoy the pictures.  I would love to hear if you know someone in these photos. The ball team is my mother’s basketball team at Climax High School in the 40s.  She loved playing basketball.  She shared some of her experiences and cheers they did.  One I remember is “Wash em out wring em out hang em on the line we can beat ‘team name’ any old time.”  I think Macks Creek was their biggest rival.  I know a few people in the last picture.  It is not all family so I think it must have been a neighborhood or church group.  It would be fun to know the occasion that all these lovely ladies posed for this picture.
